I’m so excited to be writing about my recent visit to San Diego CA. I was very hesitant in visiting do to everything going on but this year is definitely different from last year. That’s why it took me weeks to finally book a hotel and make plans to visit San Diego. It’s not too far from home only 2hrs away so I knew If anything happened I would be able to turn back. Luckily everything went smooth and that is why I have decided to write about my experience in San Diego CA.
My main priority while looking for a hotel stay was cleanliness and how they are taking action with everything going on. So I ended up booking with Hyatt Mission Bay for two days. Next time I will be staying a few more days as the kids wanted to do more. But for being the first time being in a hotel over a year this was perfect. The Hyatt Mission Bay are making sure to keep their guest safe. Sanitizer is available around the hotel area. When we arrived my kids were ready for a restroom break. I’m not big on using public restrooms and I’m pretty sure know one is especially right now. But when kids need to go and we aren’t home it’s so important to find clean restrooms. So I was very happy to find clean restrooms at the Hyatt Mission Bay.
We booked a 2 night 3 day stay in San Diego for the family. As we needed some time away from our city. Different scenery is always needed for sure. Especially with everything that we had to cancel last year and with all the drastic changes we all had to go through. So it was something that we needed but I feel like everyone else deserves a change is scenery. So if you can you should definetly try booking a stay at your favorite hotel. Our bodies and mind definitely need it.
The first day we got to San Diego we checked in at the Hyatt Mission Bay and the checking in went really smooth. Then we headed over to Balboa Park and got to explore the area. We took a stroll down the Spanish Village Art Center. Then headed over to the San Diego Museum of Art which the kids enjoyed. We got to hear some music and enjoyed some relaxation time while listening to some music. I love learning about history so I definitely enjoyed the Museum. Later on in the evening we got to enjoy some fireworks coming from Sea World while enjoying some dinner from our hotel view.
Our second day was full of adventures for the kids. We headed to the USS Midway Museum and that took up our day. It was a nice a experience for the family. We got to learn so many things that happened during the War in the aircraft. Some stories brought me tears to my eyes. They did so much for the country. I truly appreciate every single person. The kids can’t wait to head on back during summer break. Remember to bring some comfy shoes as their is lot of walking to do.
Later on we got to enjoy the amenities of the hotel. The kids got into the pool and they enjoyed the slide and all the splashing that was being done. Definitely a day to remember with the family. Can’t wait to join the fun with the kids this summer. Hyatt Mission Bay in San Diego was an amazing experience for us and would definitely be back soon.
The last day in San Diego we headed to La Jolla Cove to watch the seals and enjoy a day at the beach. We grabbed some ice cream and enjoyed some seal watching. The kids can’t stop talking about this vacation till this day. So I can’t wait to take them back this summer. We also got to stop by the Carlsbad Flower Fields. It was so beautiful and that day definitely brought lots of joy and color.
This mini vacation was epic and can’t wait to continue making memories with my family this year. I was honestly very skeptical of leaving my home after everything going with 2020 but it was all worth it. The kids enjoyed the mini vacation and I can honestly say we had a blast as parents.
So cheers and thank you for reading. Remember to stay safe with everything that you do.
