Life is better when we nourish our body

Life is better when we nourish our body

This post is sponsored by Nature Made and SHE Media. All opinions are mine alone.

Life can throw so many curve balls at us. Sometimes we aren’t ready for them. But as with many things in life, we just have to learn how to fix the problem. Now that I’m a mom of two little ones I want to be able to show them that our health is very important. You know the saying… healthy mind, healthy soul. That’s exactly what I want to be able to show my kids. That saying is so true because now that I’m an adult I’m seeing how important it is.

I attended #BlogHer20 Health and listened to a panel called “Food as Fuel” – it really resonated with me. One thing that I have learned throughout my adulthood is that food is a fuel to our bodies. I have learned that I can’t eat how I used to eat when I was a teenager – my body takes certain foods much differently now. I now listen to my body and how it responds to the things I eat. I am constantly reminding myself that I should be nourishing my body with the food that I’m taking in throughout the day.

Each year, there are new diet fads that get popular. I’ll admit it – I’ve gotten sucked into some myself. However, I always do my own research and usually don’t end up following through with them after doing so. Why? Because I know my body is unique and I have to do what works for me. One man’s food is another man’s poison. I started a food journal this year because I’m determined to eliminate the food that no longer is nourishing my body.

In addition to eating the right things for our bodies, taking supplements is very important for us – I always make sure to take my supplements to help nourish my body. I have learned that vitamin D is a very important vitamin because research has demonstrated that it’s an essential fat-soluble vitamin and important for our overall health†.

The Importance of Vitamin D

  • Bone health support
    • Vitamin D helps build and maintain strong bones by enhancing calcium absorption†.
  • Muscle health support
    • Vitamin D is important for muscle health because it supports muscle function, muscle strength, and balance†.
  • Immune health support
    • Vitamin D supports immune health by playing a crucial role in both acquired and innate immune responses†.

Attending the #BlogHer20 Health event in LA made me feel even better knowing that I’m doing my body good by taking Nature Made® Extra Strength Vitamin D Gummies, which contain 5,000 IU vitamin D3 per serving and it’s the body’s preferred form of vitamin D. Nourishing my body is one of my goals for 2020 and it makes me feel good knowing I’m taking action.

At #BlogHer20 Health, I also learned about Nature Made’s new Elderberry Gummies with Vitamin C and Zinc. They’re perfect for adults who want a tastier, more convenient way to take vitamins and supplements. For me 2020 is looking very bright and I love that I’m taking action for myself and I’m also making my family more knowledgeable about their own health. Make sure you get to check out Nature Made’s Extra Strength Vitamin D Gummies and Elderberry Gummies with Vitamin C and Zinc for yourself and purchase them on Amazon if they’re right for you!

As someone who battles with MS, I can say that Vitamin D is so important. I feel depleted without it.
